Studio notes

A useful automation needs a plan for when things go wrong.

The successful path is only part of a workflow. Missing data and failed connections deserve just as much attention.

Map the manual process first

Identify the trigger, the inputs, the decision points, and the expected outcome. Confirm who owns each step. Automating an unclear process tends to move its problems faster.

Design the exceptions

Decide what happens when a required field is empty, an API is unavailable, or a record already exists. Use clear notifications and a review path for cases that should not proceed automatically.

Keep the flow maintainable

Use descriptive steps, document important assumptions, and agree who will monitor failures. A smaller understandable workflow is often more useful than a complex one nobody wants to change.
